Man, it was another rough outing for the Tigers. The team just can't seem to get much going these days as they lost their 7th straight game. It's not even fun to watch and there really doesn't seem to be any fire.
Even with the team not playing the best, we still have a job to do and I believe we did it quite well. Before the game started we had to get a couple things set up. We honored the football team yesterday and we had to get the bowl game trophy down to the court before the game started. I also had to find the fan of the game and I believe I found the best guy I possibly could. He was in his gold Mizzou pants, his black and gold Mizzou shirt, his Mizzou hat, and he had a Mizzou belt. This guy was decked out and there wasn't anybody else in the house that would have been more deserving of the fan of the game.
I was also part of making sure the seat upgrade promotion went off without a hitch during the game. We had to get the mascot in place and make sure nobody tried to disturb what was going on. It doesn't take that long, but I did have to stop one woman from barging down into the picture because she wanted to get a picture with the mascot.
Next thing I had to do was the t-shirt parachute drop. I think this showed evidence they're trusting me and the other interns more because we did it by ourselves. No full-time staff member escorted us and did it with us. They know we're good and we can do this stuff.
During halftime I had to help get the bowl trophy out onto the court and make sure the football players got out there. I also had to get the fan of the game out onto the court during his recognition time frame. Everything went smoothly, just like it was supposed to.
After halftime was time just spent hanging around in case anything came up. Nothing really did so for the most part I watched the rest of the game, if you could call it that. I knew the team would have its struggles this year, but I wasn't expecting it to be this bad.
