Today wasn't nearly as exciting as Friday's match-up with Oklahoma State. Probably had something to do with the fact that Northern Illinois simply isn't very good. We had our third largest wrestling crowd ever on Friday with over 2,000 and we had maybe a few hundred today.
However, just because the crowd was smaller didn't mean I didn't gain any valuable experience.
Before the match started I was in charge of walking around the building and making sure everything was good to go. This has been common with me since I've started working most of the wrestling matches lately. I was also put in charge of the intermission activity again. It was the same thing we did last week, but it's nice knowing they trust me to do all that.
After intermission was over it was pretty quiet. I hung around until the end in case we pinned anybody and had to give out license plate covers. We did have a couple pins and we called out the cover winners but they never came. It's really unfortunate, but we're going to get in contact with the winners to make sure they still receive their prize.
The wrestling team did continue its stellar season. It beat the Huskies by a final score of 32-12!
