Day 1 is in the books! It was actually rather uneventful, but it was nice to just get started in this journey. When I first got there this afternoon, Megan and I talked about my schedule some more because there was some confusion. She wasn't sure if I wanted to work events so she left me off the December event schedule. I told her that I definitely wanted to work these events as they were what I was most looking forward to. We then decided I could work one event in December and she would definitely be putting me on schedule from here on out.
I also met Michael Gett, also an Assistant Director of Marketing, and Andrew Schuster, a marketing associate. I didn't get to talk with them much, but they both seemed liked great guys and will be helpful along this ride.
As for actual work, I was put in charge of compiling a list of different promotions that SEC baseball teams have done in the past. This project is likely to take me a few days because there are a ton of different promotions. Eventually we are going to use that list to help us set up promotions for the 2015 Mizzou Baseball Season.
I really enjoyed the first day and I can't wait to see what is in store for me in the future!
