Well, today was fun. I got there and started working on my promotions project because I figured that's what I was going to be doing, but I only ended up doing it for 15 minutes. Andrew asked me to run a bunch of schedule posters and schedule cards to different companies around town. I wasn't quite sure what to expect because some of the places I was supposed to go to didn't seem like the kind of places that would hang up these posters or leave the cards out for customers to take. I was completely wrong. Nearly every place I went the people seemed to be expecting them. They were ecstatic to have these posters and cards and said they would gladly put them up. I'm glad I was wrong because this gives more people around town the chance to see the posters or the cards and decide they want to go to a game. I believe by giving these companies the posters and the cards that we are strengthening our relationships with them. Like I said, they all seemed excited to have the posters and the cards, and I think they feel we care about them since we take the time to deliver the posters and cards to them.
I also got good news from Michael today. He came in and talked to me and said that although he appreciates what I'm doing with the promotions project, he knows it is boring and that this next week they are going to have better projects for me to do. He said it was a rather odd week for me to start given their schedule, but next week will be better. I can't wait to see what they have in store for me.
