First off, this post is a few days late. The weather got increasingly bad on Friday so by the time I got home that night I was just ready to go to bed. Saturday and Sunday were hectic and I didn't really have time to do this until right now.
I started with office hours first on Friday, and then I had an event to work. Office hours started out by me finished the school contact list. Michael can now use it to contact those schools to tell them what we are doing to see if they are interested. From talking with Megan it seems like this whole thing was Michael's idea so she is letting him handle everything. Seems a bit odd to me that the department does things that not everyone is on the same page with.
After that I found some statistics regarding women's basketball games. Women's basketball is deciding whether or not to schedule a middle of the week day game next season and beyond. I had to find some information regarding the attendance for this type of game at other schools. The attendance average at these types of games wasn't very high so I'm not sure they'll be doing it.
I then had to write the script for the season-long baseball promotions. We have four season-long promotions (2 for 1 Tuesday, $1 Wednesdays, Little League Saturdays, and Family Funday Sunday), and I had to develop and write the script. I have severe doubts when it comes to my writing ability so I was a bit nervous handling this project. When I got done I sent it back to Megan and she said it was great. I was glad she said that because I really wasn't sure. I'll post what I came up with in the projects section.
Like, I said earlier, after office hours I had to work a gymnastics events. My main responsibility was running the handstand contest again. It seems anytime there is a contest for kids when I work, I'm the one that gets put in charge of finding the kids and running it. Apparently I have a knack for getting kids to come out in front of everyone and participating. I also had to help with the pizza and t-shirts we gave out to students. Not a lot of students came unfortunately, but we're hoping we can get that to change in the coming years. As for the meet itself, the Tigers had some great individual performances, but the team couldn't pull out against Auburn losing by a score of 196.875-195.800.
