Today was Family Fun Day and while I hope it was fun for the families that came, it wasn't always fun for me. During the pregame I was in charge of running the bounce house, and that can surprisingly be pretty difficult. Some of the kids that were in it just didn't want to listen and when you have a line backed up you have to make sure they have a turn and then get out. Not all of them wanted to get out and I actually had to raise my voice a few times. Some of the older kids also wanted to be a bit rambunctious and that's all fine and dandy except for when there are little kids in the bounce house as well. The worst part of the bounce house thought was putting the thing away. It took three of us to deflate and store the thing. It was the best workout I've had in quite some time.
During the game I was mainly on the headset and did whatever Megan asked me to. I really didn't have too much to do though because we don't do nearly as much stuff during women's games as we do the men's games.
One of the best parts of this experience though is simply learning about all the stuff that goes on. There is quite a bit of stuff I don't do because I'm just an intern, but to see what they have to do to make sure it runs smoothly is pretty cool.
Now for the bad news. The Tigers lost today 53-47. They put up a good effort against the #17 team in the nation, but they just didn't pull it out.
