Office hours day. I started out rolling a whole bunch of posters which is pretty boring and doesn't utilize anything I'm learning, but it was for a good cause. We're bring all the posters to the boy's and girl's club and giving them to the youth that go there. Most of these kids can't afford to go to the games, but they still like the teams and we obviously want to show we care. Our basketball coach is in a contest trying to win $100,000 for the club, so we can at least do our part by giving them some free posters.
Next, Michael wanted me to create a spreadsheet of all the contact information for the gymnastics clubs in the state. This one was rather easy because there was a website that had all that information already. I just sent him the link and didn't even need to create the spreadsheet. Boy, do I love technology!
I'm also perusing different athletic department Twitter accounts to see how many post a weekly schedule. Michael is trying to convince his boss that we should have one and it seems like a pretty good idea to me. He needs some examples though and how many schools actually do it. I've only found five so far, so I'm not sure how popular it is.
The baseball coaches project I wrote about last week has been scrapped. I told Megan about how long it was going to take and we decided against doing it that way. We're trying to find someone that has a list that we can purchase, but I'm not sure if we've had any luck yet.
I also got named intern of the month today. It was greatly appreciated because I put in a ton of work in January and I'm glad my work is being recognized. I get a $25 gift card to the Tiger Team Store which goes a bit further now that I get a 30% discount for working for the athletics department.
